This is my summary of the video “What’s Holding You Back” by the YouTube channel Be Inspired.
You have to be at least motivated to try.
Why don’t we take action? Fear.
Make the decision and take action. Find courage and do what needs to be done.
Getting better is a campaign. Everyday working to get better everyday for as long as you live.
Prime your brain to recognize the obstacles and train your brain how to overcome those obstacles.
Stop looking for a short cut and find your discipline.. find your guts.. Find your passion, your drive, your will and then you will find your freedom.
Stop thinking you are just going to try something. Decide you are going to commit to mastery when you take on learning a new skill.
If you want to become something different you need to become somebody different, you need to learn new skills, new knowledge and new personality traits.
No one knows enough to be a pessimist.
Most people hone down their dream because they don’t think they can do it.
Dream big. That is what is exciting.
You must set yourself up for the process.
Form good habits and make them your masters.
Being interested is convenient and easy, committed is when you do what it takes no matter what. Everything you got you put into it until you get the result.
Step 1: Do what you can with what you have.
How many great ideas have you had and did not do anything about it? As soon as you have an idea, act on it. That is all the inspiration that you need.
Your reason must be big enough or your excuses will be bigger.
Change your expectations for what you don’t have to appreciation for what you do have.
You are more than a mind. You are a heart and a soul that feels what is best for you.
Repeat, “I am going to find beauty in everything that happens in my life. ”
Everything tough in your life that you have gone through makes you stronger today.
We are the only creatures on earth that have thoughts that we can control. If we have good thoughts we will feel happy, if we have bad thoughts we will feel bad.
Decide you are 100 percent responsible for everything in your life.
Stop blaming. In any situation take full responsibility for why you are where you are. You are what you are today because of the decisions you made yesterday.
It’s what you do on the days you don’t want to do it that make your life better by making working consistent.
You can turn into someone that is way beyond ordinary. All it takes is the decision to be someone great.
Good is never going to be good enough. Go out and give it your best. Don’t wait for someone else to do it for you.
80% percent of people allow their fear of failure to stop them from taking action.
When you are willing to fail again and again and again no matter what it takes that is when you will be successful.
If you decide to be a “no matter” what person that will give birth to a person that you do not know right now that lives life to its fullest and makes the most of every opportunity.
Don’t ever give up.
When something is important enough you make it happen without a question.
Someone’s opinion of you does not have to become your reality.
Never allow peoples opinion of you to determine what you want to do with your time.
The greats see it before it happens and they go out everyday and make it happen every minute of the day.
Only those that can see the invisible can do the impossible.
Everyone has a list of what they should do. When your should becomes a must is when your life changes for the better. When you look at something like it should it happen, it’s not guarenteed to happen but when you turn that should into a must, then you make it happen no matter what.
Find your burning desire for success. Whatever your idea of success is.
Schedule 60 minutes a day for learning. reading or watching something that will help you. Writing in a journal is learning.
Find your heart everyday. Find your purpose every morning.
You’re either the CEO of your life or your life’s employee. Life will own you if you do not take control.
Life gets easier everyday and more importantly you’re happier when your accomplishing goals.
You have the power to be the happiest person you know.
Big decisions start with small decisions, like what are you going to focus on.
Whether or not you have grit is what determines your success.
TRY an innovation, experience failure and use that experience to get you closer to achieving your goal.
Welcome change but see it for what it really is, a chance for further fulfillment.
We must train it patiently day by day.
You have to believe you have the right stuff to pull it off.
Believing in yourself is an attitude, it’s a choice.
You must make the big decisions with your heart. Create something that does not exist.
Make it a reality.
Motivation is literally the desire to do things. That’s why you are watching/reading this.
Stay in the workplace longer than anyone else and get home and keep thinking about it. Be excited and you will be motivated.
